Al-Masjid Al - Aqsa Men’s Prayer Hall -1 Prayer Hall for Women – 2 and Muthal Rowther Tharga – 3. These three Buildings are constructed at Village Survey No :314/1 (Extent: 14 cents i.e 5885 sq.ft) of Pudukkottai North Village. Pudukkottai - Taluk and District.

1. P.M.Mohamed Ghouse S/o. Mohamed Yousuf

Born at Melapalayam of Tirunelveli District, he came to Pudukkottai in 1963 on Govt Job. Then he migrated to Machuvadi Driver Colony in 1995. He retired from Govt. Service on 30/06/1997, after serving as Block Development Officer in Pudukkottai Union. He is a Social Philontheraphist and served as President in preliminary construction of Al–Masjid Al-Aqsa. Presently he is living at Melapalayam.

2. P. Abdul Razack
S/o.Fakir Mohamed

Born in Pudukkottai, he lived in Driver Colony at Machuvadi. He maintained Muthal Rowther Tharga for many years and protected the site at which the Mosque is built. He performed well as a secretary in the construction of Al- Masjid Al- Aqsa from the inception till completion. He passed away in 2003AD.

He was born in Thondi of Ramanathapuram District and came to Pudukkottai on business 1986. He is a monotheist (Thowheed). He officiated as a Treasurer in building Al- Masjid Al - Aqsa from beginning till completion. Presently he serves as the secretary of Al -Masjid Al- Aqsa.

NAMING OF
AL-MASJID AL-AQSA
The name “Al- Masjid Al -Aqsa” was selected by the Executiive committee by raffling among few names suggested by M.A.Mohamed Yahya Khan(Ulawi) Imam of Noor Mosque , South 3rd Street at Pudukkottai.

AIM OF BUILDING
AL-MASJID AL-AQSA
This mosque was built with aim to provide facility to perform their duty of praying not only for the Pudukkottai Muslims also for the Muslim Passengers(Men and Women) travelling between Pudukkottai and Thanjavur.
PEOPLE WHO HELPED FOR CONSTRUCTION
This mosque was built by receiving funds and materials from Muslims residing at Pudukkottai Town, Pudukkottai District, Muslims of other districts in Tamilnadu and few Muslims working abroad. Few brotheren from other religion also have helped to this mosque.
BEGINING OF PRAYERS AT
AL-MASJID AL-AQSA
The Ulamas address took place on Sunday 5p.m on 10/01/1999 AD Hijiri 1419 Ramalan 21st followed by Ifthar of the 21st day of Ramalan.

Regular prayers started with MAHARIB prayer of Monday evening of 22nd day of Ramalan.

The Building Committee was formed by the Executive committee headed byJanab. N.Abdul Wahab B.Sc, as below.

Munawara construction and external plastering were completed jointly by the building and executive committees.

Final completion work which started on September on 2002AD was completed on April 2003 AD

AL-MASJID AL-AQSA FOR WOMEN
The work was started on January 2008 basing on “Renovation Funds” of Rs.200000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs) released by Tamilnadu Wakf Board.

An account in the name of AL MASJIDHUL AQSA PALLIVASAL WAKF RENOVATION COMMITTEE was opened at PCC Bank operatable by

The Work of Mosque for women was completed on August 2009 AD with the fund released by Wakf Board and few donors.

He was born at Andakulam of Pudukkottai District. He is helpful in all aspects including financial right from the inception of the Al Aqsa Mosque building work. Presently he is the Vice President of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Born in Karambakudy of Pudukkotai District, he came to Machuvadi, Pudukkottai on 1995 for Educational Service. He is helping Al Aqsa Mosque from initial stage with his own and others fundings. He runs few educational institutions in Pudukkottai District. He is a good advisor and educationist.

PERSON TO BE THANKED WHOLE HEARTEDLY
He is the person who designed and constructed the Manowwara of Al Aqsa Mosque. He constructed the mosque for women in a grand manner. He is respectful.
